As a Forensic Investigator with the SAPS since 1983, Welmar left the Police Services in 1997 and started Quaestio Forensic Assessors.

As an official crime scene photographer, fingerprint expert, and forensic investigator, he continued his experience in the private sector and registered Quaestio Forensic Assessors during 2002. Ever since the company has grown and a few offices were opened and established countrywide.

I have a passion for people and to be able to help somebody in need brings me a lot of joy. I have 22 years of experience in the SA Police Service and ended my career in SAPS as a Branch Commander of the Detective Services.

5 Years ago I grabbed the opportunity to get more focused with Accident Reconstructions and Civil Litigation investigations. I left the Police Services to broaden my knowledge and ability to be of service to people affected by the wrong doings of a third party.

I work closely with Welmar O’Reilly, the Director of Quaestio Forensic Investigators, who has ample experience in this field.
